Joseph Jacobs was a well known Australian folklorist who became famous after his significant collections of English folklore. Nothing much is known about his life, but no one can deny his importance and place on a Folklorist list. He was the editor for some of the world’s most famous folk tale translations such as Aesops’ Tales, Arabian Nights, etc.
